Ok guys and girls, we’d like to formally announce our new guitarist Jack “Mackie” MacKrill We are excited to welcome Mackie to the SCG family, and know you guys will make him feel at home. He will be hitting the stage with us from August onwards, so come down to a party and show him how you guys roll! SCG xxx

So, we’ve got a big pair of shoes to fill in team Shadows. 

Who want’s in?

We’re opening it up to everybody, so if you can sing and play guitar to a high standard or know somebody who can, read on!

We’re not going to bullshit you all about the rock star lifestyle’s we lead; so please show us the same respect, and don’t bullshit us. The fact is, being part of a band like Shadows is hard bloody work & most of the time, our reward is purely that we get to play a sweaty show, hang out with some great people & barely cover our costs.

We need you to understand that we’ll expect you to drop everything that you’re doing, in favour of the band. So whether it be you cancel your plans to meet your potential new mother and father in-law, leave before the final whistle or turn off your favourite episode of Family Guy - whatever it is, it’s not as important to us as Shadows, and you need to be on our level with that.

Also, you simply cannot have a full time job and be part of this band, it doesn’t work, trust us, we know & we’ve got the P45’s to show for it.

No Time wasters please!

SO - if none of that puts you off and you think you’re up to the challenge, here’s what we need you to do.

First off, you need to send us the following information about yourself:

• Name, Age, Location
• Availability to audition and start
• Other commitments (other bands, projects, work, college etc)
• Contact information (Phone Number, e-mail address etc)
• Your Influences & why you think you’d be good as part of Shadows
• Previous experience (including musical production experience)
• Equipment List
• Video link…

You need to send us a video of you playing & singing, doesn’t matter how you do it as long as the sound quality’s good and it’s you (lets face it, we’re gunna find out eventually if it’s not). 

That’s it!

If we like what we read and see, we’ll make sure we’re in touch and set up a live audition with the band and take it from there.

Hey guys, we’ve got some major news to break today concerning our line up, we’ve been dealing with it for a week or so and now it’s time we let you all know in our own words.

Recently Damian applied and was accepted to University! It’s a dream course for him & something he’s wanted to do for a long time, so we’re absolutely over the moon for him.

Unfortunately however, this means that after September, he’ll no longer be able to play his part in Shadows full time.

We met last week to talk everything over & whilst it’s a heartbreaking situation that Dai won’t be continuing with us on our journey, we need to keep going as a full time outfit, keep playing the shows, writing the songs, meeting all of you and living our dreams out on the road.

You guys will still be able to catch him smashing the fuck out of stages with us until September, at which point, unfortunately we’ll have to say goodbye to him!

We are all still the best of friends, we have a very close, unique bond and that’s never going to change. We love and wish him all the best with his studies and hope that all of you will come out to his last shows with us and send him off the way he deserves!

We know this will be a shock to a lot of you as it was to us at first.

Rest assured, Shadows is still going strong.

We are writing the best material we’ve ever put together and you will be able to hear some of it very soon. We’re keeping all our commitments and we should have some really exciting tour news for you in coming weeks!

As far as our search for a new guitarist goes, it’s starting now & we’ll let you know in the next couple of days when we know where we’re at! If you think you might be suitable, keep your eyes on our pages for an update!

Until then – we love you all, without you guys, Shadows is nothing - so thank you for being the best fans in the world, sharing our journey and sticking by us through everything!

A few words from Damian:

Hey everyone,

I just want to say a couple of things about my reasons for leaving. First off, this decision has by no means been easy. For the past 2 years I’ve had the time of my life with four of my best friends, I’ve been halfway round the world and met some amazing people. However, certain opportunities don’t come around too often, priorities change and my decision means that come September I will not be able to carry on with the commitments that being in a full time band demands.

I just want to say cheers to Trey, Danny, Danny & Matt for making the past 2 years the most incredible experience ever, I’ve been extremely lucky to have shared some of the most ridiculous & exhilarating times with these guys. I’d also like to thank everyone who’s worked with us and helped us out along the way. Most importantly, though, I want to thank all of you for being the most amazing fans and for showing so much support. Shadows Chasing Ghosts would be nowhere without you guys! So please keep supporting them, keep giving them the love they deserve, and look after my boys for me!
